We are finding out about minibeasts. We are investigating the features, habitat and interesting facts about minibeasts.
We now know heaps about honeybees!
  • they have 6 legs

  • they have a pollen basket in their abdomen
  • they have wings
  • each hive has one Queen Bee and this is the only bee that lays eggs
  • female honeybees make male bees leave the hive in Winter
  • in summer there can be more than 20,000 bees in one hive
  • only female bees have a stinger
  • male bees are lazy
  • honeybees make honey and they help fruit to grow on fruit trees

Wild Action Zoo

Giant Burrowing Cockroaches!

The minibeasts that Xavier bought were
