We now know heaps about honeybees!
- they have 6 legs
- they have compound eyes
- they have 3 body parts (head, thorax and abdomen)
- they have a pollen basket in their abdomen
- they have wings
- each hive has one Queen Bee and this is the only bee that lays eggs
- female honeybees make male bees leave the hive in Winter
- in summer there can be more than 20,000 bees in one hive
- only female bees have a stinger
- male bees are lazy
- honeybees make honey and they help fruit to grow on fruit trees
